RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch 2026
Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th January 2026

The biggest garden wildlife survey in the world is back, and we’d love for you to take part! Across one weekend in January, hundreds of thousands of nature lovers will gather to count the birds that they can see in their gardens, balconies, yards and parks. It’s fun, free and a great way to connect with nature
Why not encourage your community to take part, provide or share copies of the Recording sheet and ID guides, or arrange an event at your local green space?
You can download a copy of the official guide and tally chart here:
Your How to guide and tally chart (bilingual document)
It only takes 1 hour and can be completed anytime during the weekend event.
Schools can also take part so why not send this link to your local schools?
