A major inquiry into the Community and Town Council sector has concluded with the publication of a report of its findings.

The Local Government and Housing Committee (Senedd Cymru/Welsh Parliament) published its full report on 5 March 2025. The report can be read below:

One Voice Wales submitted detailed written evidence to the inquiry and appeared before the committee. Many Community and Town Councils also submitted evidence.

Councillor Mike Theodoulou, Chair of One Voice Wales said, “Overall I welcome this report, which seeks to improve the capacity of the Community and Town Council sector.”

One Voice Wales looks forward to seeing the response of Welsh Government to this extensive piece of work.
